To download the application, all you have to do is go to your respective application market, (Playstore for Android, iTunes for iOS) search for the Pokémon app and install it. The tricky part comes for those countries where the game has not been released. For people, from such countries they have to download a VPN app and change their proxy to a country where the game has been released. Then they have to download the app in the normal way.

Like any other modern game, when you first download the app you have to create your own avatar/trainer. You even get to choose your avatar’s clothing from a limited number of options. The game allows you to capture, train and battle virtual Pokémon making use of your GPS and camera of your mobile phone. The game uses your actual location and environment so you will have to explore your neighborhood in search of Pokémons. You will find different types of Pokémon in different areas i.e. water type Pokémon near water bodies. You will need to flick pokéballs at it to catch the Pokémon. Unlike previous versions, you do need to fight the Pokémon to capture but instead strategically throw the pokéball with the right power and direction to capture it.
